The Saudi Special Olympics Federation concluded its table tennis competitions on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The three-day event was held across four regions of the Kingdom: the Central, Eastern, Asir, and Western regions, amidst a competitive atmosphere where the athletes demonstrated their determination and resilience.
The competition saw the participation of 45 male and female Special Olympics athletes, as part of a series of sports programs implemented by the Saudi Special Olympics to develop athletes' skills and enhance their presence in various sports.
The results showed remarkable success for the participating clubs. In the Eastern Region, the Efaa Special Olympics Club secured the top four positions in the men's category, while Al-Noor Club came in fifth and sixth. The Efaa Club's female players also achieved first and second place.
In the Central Region, the top spots were shared between the Ta'heel Special Olympics Club and the Qassim Club for People with Disabilities in the first and second groups, respectively. The Qassim Club came in third and Ta'heel fourth in the second group.
In the southern region, the Asir Club for People with Disabilities excelled in the women's category, securing first and second place. Meanwhile, the Baha Club for People with Disabilities claimed first place in both men's groups, followed by the Jazan Club for People with Disabilities, and then the Asir Club for People with Disabilities.
In the western region, the Ghazlan Al-Sahra Club distinguished itself by achieving first and second place in the first and third groups, respectively. The top two spots in the second group went to the Maharat Al-Tafawuq Club, followed by the Taif Club in third place, and Maharat Al-Tafawuq in fourth.
Mr. Talal Al-Humaidan, Director of Communications and Partnerships, explained:
“Organizing the table tennis competition in four regions is a significant step that reflects the support of clubs and partner organizations in empowering players. We are committed to providing a comprehensive sporting environment that allows participants to showcase their talents and develop their skills. Through these tournaments, we strive to enhance their presence at various levels.”
Al-Humaidan added:
“We appreciate the efforts of the organizational and technical staff and the event team, as well as the crucial role of families in supporting the players, which contributed to the success of this competition and highlighted the players' abilities.”
