The Saudi Special Olympics concluded its Special Olympics Coach Training Course for the Motor Activities Program (MATP) on November 26, 2025, in cooperation with the Leadership Development Institute. The course, held from November 23 to 26, 2025, saw the participation of 22 coaches. It included a theoretical component covering the definition of the Motor Activities Program and its requirements, as well as practical application sessions led by instructor Ayman Al-Issawi, with the participation of Special Olympics athletes from the Efaa Association for People with Disabilities.
This course marks the conclusion of the Special Olympics coach training courses for this year. Throughout 2025, the Federation conducted a series of over 10 specialized training courses across various sports, benefiting more than 338 coaches. This initiative is part of the Saudi Special Olympics' efforts to build national capacity and expand the pool of qualified coaches, thereby supporting programs and competitions with specialized training expertise that meets the needs of athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
